“Hey Ma,” I called while trotting into the kitchen, “Have
you seen my…”
I stopped in my tracks to ogle at the giant cat that was
slinking in the open front door. Mom came into the kitchen and glanced at the
television. The newscaster was ranting about a broken gate at the local zoo and
all of the animals that snuck out. I tapped Mom on the shoulder and pointed to
the bundle of orange and black fur. Because the tiger was blocking our escape,
we called the zoo and waited upstairs for them to come. Personally, I was
overjoyed when they arrived.
