“Hey…. I just returned from Africa yesterday and I have a
little gift for you.”
Alice couldn’t wait to introduce Amber to Stevey. He was the
funniest monkey in the world. As soon as Alice was awake, she Face Timed
everyone she knew, including Amber, to show her the surprise that was waiting
in the extravagant hotel lobby. Alice set the computer on the table in front of
Stevey. A scream of pure delight erupted from the speaker. Stevey angrily
pushed the laptop off the table.
“He hates screaming,” Alice winced.
She couldn’t blame Stevey; she appreciated her eardrums too.
